Although I’ve got a Mac I have Ubuntu and a few other Linux flavors on standby in a few virtual machines. When I was on a PC I was running solely Ubuntu for a while and was very happy with it.

As for MS Office, I too have trouble switching from it – Microsoft has ingrained it in my brain. I didn’t even like it when they updated the look and feel for 2008.

I still prefer SSuite Office. It’s nice and small and runs very fast on any system. It also does not require Java or .NET to run on.

I’ve never thought about running a Linux flavor…hmm, you have me thinking. As for switching to OpenOffice – you’re right, that would be an incredibly hard habit to break, in fact I can’t imagine not having M. Office!
